A few words from the director of the project, Behnam Mokri:
Perhaps the best ideas come to you when you have the least idea about what you want to do. You got to know the project inn but if you keep your senses open and step onto the set with an open mind and open your vision to all new possibilities, perhaps you can create something very unique. That’s what we did, in this project, the boat idea, two guys desperate for the hot girl or so called “THE GURL” all came together when I put them in the small boat. The boat is symbol for reaching to a destination, while the artists in the project will get to nowhere because their boat has landed on sand.
The project was really really fun, we shoot this in Lancaster, Ca, it was a complete collaboration and we all had fun doing it, minimal equipment but the results can speak for itself.
The scene that the female model ‘THE GURL” passes the boat, was accidental, it happened during our rehearsal for her to approach the boat but as she approached the boat, she kept walking and we all laughed and I decided to keep it in the project as is.
