Fatemeh Motamed-Arya wins French honor

Fatemeh Motamed-Arya, a renowned actress and a household name in Iranians cinema, received the Henri Langlois honorary award Monday in France.
“Tonight, we are all here for one reason,” Motamed-Arya said accepting her award, “and that is, without thinking what language to communicate with, or where we live and come from, or despite what our politicians are doing, we are here to share peace.”
“Cinema thought us how to love, how to connect our hearts and not to forget that human beings love each other regardless of their color, language or cultural background; and we are proud of this,” Motamed-Arya added.
