Andy and Shani to get married soon
Iranian superstar Andy and fellow-artist (and longtime girlfriend) Shani will get married in November 2011. Andy announced the news on his Facebook page Monday.
According to the short announcement, the wedding date is set for November 12. There will be at least two ceremonies, one for families and close friends, and another one for fellow-artists and celebrities.
In a follow-up, Andy told Nabz that the ceremonies will be held in Southern California and many of Iranian and international big names are invited to their Saturday event. He described the celebration one of the biggest of its kind in the Iranian community. “But above all,” Andy said, “it’s the biggest night for us.”
Andy and Shani have been dating for some year now. They have collaborated in various songs, like Andy’s “Foroudgah,” and their duet “Ole,” to name a few. They have also appeared alongside each other in a number of films, including “Irangeles,” “House of Sand and Fog,” and “The Keeper: The Legend of Omar Khayyam.”
Andy (Andranik Madadian) is of Armenian descent and was born in Tehran. Shani (Shani Rigsbee) was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas and moved to Los Angeles to advance her career in entertainment industry, where she met Andy.
